Karwan Gujar Gaya...........

A very powerful poem indeed. When we are young, we have dreams and aspirations. Most of these are never realized. Life passes on and suddenly one day we find ourselves exhausted, past our primes even as our dreams lay shattered. This sentiment is so beautifully captured by Gopal Das Neeraj in this classic poem.

The socio-political insight of Swaminathan S. Anklesaria Aiyar is beyond question. This is not an disengaged example when the conventional notion of anti-incumbency is refuted and that too in the absence of exceptional conditions (refer to the article). Thanks to a hybrid of management and social engineering skills employed in elections these days, the 'Gods' of politics has to review their stands.
